Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake, adapted from Martha Stewart

What’s better than a chocolate chip cookie?  How about five enormous chocolate chip cookies slathered in whipped cream cheese frosting and stacked together like a cake??

This was AMAZING.  The cookies have a soft, chewy texture, but are not quite cakey.  This entire cake vanished from my office before lunchtime even hit.

Note, I did not use the frosting in this recipe; I instead made a whipped cream cheese frosting with 2 lb. cream cheese, ½ cup butter, 4 cups  sifted powdered sugar, and 2 tsp. vanilla (with plenty left over!)
