Banana Galette

Martha Stewart’s Banana Galette

This recipe is more of a “shortcut galette” (a free-form pastry), as a tortilla stands in for the pastry crust.  This was very simple to prepare–a good treat to make with and for kids.  My toddler brushed the butter on the tortilla, arranged the bananas atop it, mixed together the brown sugar-butter syrup, and finished the dessert by brushing the syrup on the bananas.  He basically made the whole thing.
