Gale Gand’s Rum Balls

This recipe is a great way to turn any cake scraps you may have left over (like after you shape a cake) into a boozy sweet treat.  And much easier to make than those PITA cake pops.

These rum balls were featured in an episode of Gale Gand’s Sweet Dreams titled “Using Up Leftovers.”  She spoke of how she used to keep a five-gallon bucket in her bakery to collect all of their cake scraps, which were destined to be rum balls.

Let the balls ripen in the fridge over night, then re-roll them in powdered sugar before serving.
