Pumpkin Pound Cake with Maple Glaze

I’d been wanting to christen my Nordic Ware Pumpkin Loaf Pan, and thought a pumpkin pound cake would be fabulous in it.  The pan was not large enough to hold all of the batter this recipe makes, though, so I used the leftover batter in my mini angel food cake pan.

See how the loaf is darker than the mini cakes?  That’s because a darker pan typically produces a darker cake.  You can lower the oven by 25 degrees when you bake in a darker pan to reduce this effect:
