Martha Stewart’s Chocolate Pound Cake with Peanut Butter Glaze

I first saw this recipe in a beautiful story in Martha Stewart Living that provided a recipe for a Classic Pound Cake, with about a dozen different variations that could be made with simple adaptations.  Some of the other flavors were Blueberry-Sour Cream, Chocolate Marble, Cinnamon Swirl, Cherry Preserve…I could go but I’m too busy drooling just thinking about them.  There were also about a dozen simple recipes for glazes and sauces to mix-and-match to accompany the cakes.  I chose to make this chocolate-peanut butter version, topping the cakes with chocolate shavings to complete the look.
